The best way to prevent your jewellery piece from tarnishing is to avoid direct contact with cosmetics such as body creams, perfumes and hairspray. So wait a while after application before putting on your jewellery.
925 SILVER JEWELLERY
Cared for properly, sterling silver should last forever but it can tarnish. However, with careful cleaning, you can retain its gorgeous shine! Use warm, soapy water and a soft, clean, lint-free cloth. Rinse thoroughly and dry gently after cleaning. Alternatively, you can use a specialist silver polish cloth or silver cleaning dip.
GOLD PLATED JEWELLERY
Our gold jewellery is plated with a very thick layer of real gold, so it shouldn’t tarnish but Spirit Jewel recommends cleaning it carefully to prevent layers of gold from wear and tear and avoid scratching. Our gold plated jewellery can be cleaned using warm, soapy water and a soft, clean, lint-free cloth. Always rinse thoroughly and dry gently after cleaning.
GEMSTONE JEWELLERY
To keep your Spirt Jewel gemstones looking sparkly, the best way to clean your jewellery is in a bowl of water with a few drops of eco-friendly soap. Take a soft, clean toothbrush and gently rub behind the stone to remove dust and soap. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a soft, clean cloth.
